All year round, Maria welcomes you for an adventure, a relaxing weekend, or a romantic getaway in her unusual accommodations in Merlas, Rhône-Alpes.

Nestled in the heart of nature, at an altitude of 800m, you'll enjoy a peaceful setting with a beautiful view of the valley, villages, and surrounding mountains. Monchâteau Étoilé is 35 minutes from Chambéry and Grenoble, and 1 hour from Lyon and Annecy.

We offer accommodations that can be booked by the night.

During the summer season (July and August), the minimum stay is two nights.

Endroit calme et la cabane perchée est vraiment top ! Malgré une météo pas forcément favorable , l’accueil du gérant est nickel , la propreté des lieux est parfaite , la qualité du lit et housse , la tranquillité avec les voisins … rien à redire

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la cabane sous les étoiles. Enchantés par le spa privatif en terrasse. Cabane propre et très fonctionnelle. Le domaine est en pleine nature et d’un calme très reposant. Merci à nos hôtes pour l’accueil. Nous recommandons vivement !

C'était un cadeau surprise... elle fut excellente ! Un cadre somptueux, un accueil chaleureux. Une nuit à la belle étoile avec tout le confort souhaité (Spa individuel sur terrasse en plein air), suivie d'un délicieux petit déjeuner pris avec le chant des oiseaux. Le dépaysement total et du bonheur à l'état pur. A refaire !

Unique and charming accommodations

Our five romantic accommodations have everything you need to make your stay easy. Spacious and comfortable, they include towels, bed linen, and toiletries. Check-in is between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm, and check-out is before 11:00 am. A baby cot is available free of charge in the Dome and the Treehouse.

A warm and welcoming place for you

At any time during your stay, you can visit the Refuge, our reception building. There you will find a small kitchenette and a shower room for each unique accommodation. Each shower room includes a shower and toilet. All the comforts you need are at the Refuge!

An experience in the heart of nature

Our charming and unusual accommodations are located in the heart of a 3-hectare estate, on the edge of the forest. It's the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries surrounded by nature. We're also situated next to a hiking trail, which you can access from Monchâteau Étoilé. We also offer a "sea of nets" for relaxation and fun. This area, with its two platforms at 4 and 7 meters high, is completely safe and offers a magnificent view.

A break in the Nordic bath

In addition to the private spas available in 3 of our unique accommodations, you will have access to a Nordic bath. It is available to you free of charge all day, between 9 am and 8 pm.

From 8 pm to 10 pm, you will have the option of privatizing the Nordic bath for 2 people. We offer a package with a bottle of wine for €40 and a package with a bottle of champagne for €50. Bathrobes are provided.

A hike to discover the surrounding area

Embark on the "Call of the Chartreuse" hike. In the heart of the forest, leading to the Chartreuse pond, you'll enjoy the "Hiking" game: answer questions and have fun! A backpack and a water bottle in the game's colors will be provided!

1 hour 15 minute hike (200m elevation gain). Wear hiking shoes. Reservation required and payable on site: €30 per participant.

Further information about our unusual accommodations

If you are coming to Monchâteau Étoilé by car, you will benefit from free and secure parking. An electric vehicle charging station is available (payment per kWh charged). A bike storage area is also available.
